Bringing the taste of the American smokehouse to the South African snapstick, our Smokey BBQ Sticks are a fusion of two great meat cultures. This is the go-to flavour for anyone who finds traditional biltong a bit too vinegary or plain.
A Richer Flavour Profile While traditional biltong relies on coriander and salt, our BBQ version adds layers of depth.

The Smoke: A hint of hickory smoke gives the meat a cooked, “roasted” aroma, even though it is air-dried. The Sweetness: A subtle touch of sweetness balances the saltiness of the cure, making it incredibly moreish. The Glaze: The BBQ marinade creates a slightly darker, stickier exterior than our plain sticks, which caramelises slightly during the drying process.
